Dear families,
Blanton will be hosting a flu shot clinic for students on Monday, October 26. The flu shot will be free of charge and available for both on-campus and remote students. The consent form must be returned by noon on Wednesday, October 21st or your student will not be able to get the flu shot, as the nurse needs to review the forms and we need some time to create the schedule. On-campus students will receive a paper copy on Monday. We will have copies available outside the front door. Remote students will need to pick up or print a copy and return the paper to the office.
Important note: If a student refuses the vaccination, they will not be forced to have it. Blanton staff will remind them that their parents want them to be protected for their health, and provide comfort, but we will not force a student to comply. If a student refuses the shot, this will be noted on the consent form and parents will be informed.

For remote students

A schedule for remote students will be created by grade level. At the designated time, we will meet students at their car, walk them into the library, and then walk them back to the parent’s car. There may be a bit of waiting. Parents may not enter the building at this time.

Blanton organizará una clínica de vacunación contra la gripe para estudiantes el lunes 26 de octubre. La vacuna contra la gripe será gratuita y estará disponible tanto para estudiantes en el campus como para estudiantes remotos. Si un estudiante rechaza la vacuna, esto se anotará en el formulario de consentimiento y se informará a los padres.
